Join us at the University of Lyon from November 25-27, 2024, for a critical dialogue on institutional culture and intersectional approaches to combating gender-based violence in higher education.

The #MeToo movement in 2017 sparked global awareness and action against sexual violence, extending into all sectors of society, including higher education. Building on this momentum, the European Conference “Gender-Based Violence in Higher Education and Research in Europe” will be hosted at the University of Lyon from November 25-27, 2024. We are now inviting contributions to discuss and develop knowledge, policies, and practical implementations addressing gender-based violence in academia.

This conference will explore three key questions:
1. **What do we know?** Sharing the latest data on the prevalence and dynamics of gender-based violence in higher education.
2. **What are the existing policies and frameworks?** Analyzing international, European, and local policies and their impact on combating gender-based violence.
3. **How are policies implemented in institutions?** Sharing practical experiences and strategies for prevention, protection, support for victims, training, and prosecution.

We welcome contributions in the form of scientific research, policy analysis, and implementation case studies. This event will feature oral presentations, poster sessions, workshops, and thematic round tables. Join us in Lyon to contribute to this crucial dialogue and help shape the future of gender equality in higher education.
